Residency trained EM at Yale, boarded in EM, 10 + years experience urban environment.
I am versed in all aspects of emergency medicine, but I have focused on cardiovascular problems in my research and education.
I have published numerous academic articles and produced educational material about the use of the ECG and bedside ultrasound to diagnose cardiac and respiratory conditions, including MI, CHF, PE, pre-eclampsia with pulmonary edema, pericardial tamponade, pulmonary embolism, aortic dissection, coronary artery dissection, management of arrhythmias, cardiac arrest, evaluation of chest pain, evaluation of shortness of breath, and other cardio-respiratory problems.
Additionally, I was a paramedic for 5 years before medical school, and maintain a relationship with EMS currently.
I am prepared to discuss excited delirium and cardiac arrest in custody, whether in the ED or in the prehospital context.
