Following graduation from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1981, Dr Hilton completed a 3 year Internal Medicine residency at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. After four years with the National Health Service Corps, Dr. Hilton completed a three year cardiology fellowship at St Louis University Hospital, St Louis, Missouri in 1991. He is currently a non-interventional board certified cardiologist living in Jacksonville Beach, Florida where he has practiced with the Baptist Heart Specialists since 1996. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine and as Chief of the Division of Cardiology. He has experience in research with over 30 publications. Special interests include heart failure, valvular heart disease, and cardiac arrhythmias. He is the former Chairman of the Board of CardioStart International with whom he travelled to 15 international humanitarian missions to Peru, Nepal and the Caribbean. Finally, Dr. Hilton has worked part time providing expert witness for the last ten years, with a focus in cardiovascular disease.
