I earned a MD, PhD from the University of South Florida and studied the mechanism of cholesterol production and inhibition in the liver. After training in both General Surgery and Vascular Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis I have practiced vascular surgery for over 13 years in a group associated with a large health system that is the major referral center for West Michigan. While maintaining a full time practice I have also served in many leadership roles within the organization including the Section Chief of Vascular Surgery and Vice President of Research. Currently, I maintain a full time comprehensive vascular surgery practice encompassing both open and endovascular techniques.
