Allison Thorn is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center with over 20 years of diverse nursing and nurse practitioner experience. She is currently practicing in acute care (in-person and telemedicine) and administration in a large multi-regional health system. Her nursing and NP background includes labor and delivery, orthopedics and sports medicine, family medicine, acute care, rural health, retail health, leadership, administration, and telemedicine. She was most recently part of a team that built a new telemedicine service for the hospital system and is now the Director of the department. She has active licenses in Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
She has earned a Masters of Science in Nursing as well as a Masters in Health Administration degrees and has successfully completed all of the American Associate of Legal Nurse Consultants courses. She earned a Women in Leadership Certificate from Cornell University. She has two published articles in peer review journals: "Not Just Another Case of Nausea And Vomiting: A Review of Postinfectious Gastroparesis."
