Dr. Vijay Prasad is a Board Certified Pediatrician with Special Qualification in Pediatric Emergency Transport.
He served as an attending physician on the Alan Purwin Emergency Transport Team at Children's Hospital Los Angeles for five years, where he specialized in the medical care of critically ill and injured neonatal and pediatric patients to higher levels of care via fixed wing, rotor wing and ground ambulance transport. This unique position gave him experience with specialized transport medical equipment and protocols designed specifically for transport. He has previously authored review articles on Pediatric Transport practices geared towards educating Emergency Medicine physicians and has significant case review experience as a lead in Morbidity and Mortality conferences. He is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)

Currently, he practices as a pediatrician in New York City, and holds an appointment at Weill Cornell School of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics.
