Leslie Smart has 50 (fifty) years of experience in trucks, truck equipment, related equipment, distribution by truck and tractor trailer (conventional and Hazmat), specifications, procurement, vehicle safety, DOT regulations-compliance, operations, risk management, tires, truck maintenance (internal & by contract both with Penske & Ryder) and driver safety, training, behavior & monitoring. His experience also includes leasing of all types including full service leases and managing a fleet through a fleet management company. Responsibilities included management of fleets up to 5,500 vehicles in number.
Les has worked for defendants as well as plaintiffs. He has performed as an expert witness for the plaintiff in an injury law suit involving a truck that resulted in a multi-million-dollar settlement through mediation subsequent to his deposition.
