Dr. Goldstein is a board certified periodontist with over 40 years of experience in dentistry, periodontics and dental implantology. He has extensive teaching experience in his field, having been on the faculty of Yale University School of Medicine for over 15 years. Dr. Goldstein also taught at the University of Connecticut, the State University of New York (Buffalo), and the University of Manitoba. He is currently an adjunct faculty member at NOVA Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine. 

Dr. Goldstein received his specialty training and certification in periodontics from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his American Board of Periodontology certification, he is also certified in Canada as a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists.

Dr. Goldstein is the author of seven scientific publications in the area of periodontics. In 2008, Dr. Goldstein was voted "Top Dentist" by Connecticut Magazine, and he is a past president (2004) of the New Haven Dental Association.

In his practice, Dr. Goldstein has experience treating a number of periodontal conditions, including periodontal disease, recession, inadequate crown length, loss of bone, exposed roots, loose teeth, missing teeth, infection in the mouth and loss of function. He has performed over 25,000 surgical procedures including dental implant placement, periodontal surgery, sinus elevation, bone grafting, ridge augmentation, dental extractions, socket preservation, soft tissue grafting and crown lengthening.

Dr. Goldstein is experienced in litigation support in both criminal and civil cases including improper implant placement, implant failure, sinus perforation, implants displaced into the sinus, failure of dental prostheses improperly placed on implants, loss of teeth, and failure to diagnose. His experience also includes physical injury cases resulting in loss of teeth and damage to oral structures and child abuse cases resulting oral injury.
