I am a dual board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism.  I hold an active license in California and Florida and have a full-time office-based private practice.  

I have extensive experience in legal consulting, depositions, trial testimony (including 402 expert hearings), jury education and strategy.  I have been retained by corporations, small business owners, landlords, employees and physicians. In addition, I have worked for the Attorney General, California Public Defender, City of Los Angeles and the California State Medical Board.  I have provided expert reports and/or testimony on numerous cases in diabetes (including cases related to exacerbation of pre-existing diabetes from injury, improper medication administration, hypoglycemia, diabetic neuropathy, diabetic retinopathy, unlawful job termination/discrimination claims related to diabetes, defense of diabetes-related criminal cases and others) and across the spectrum of Endocrinology including thyroid cancer, hypopituitarism, hypothyroidism, adrenal disease, product labeling and deceptive medical claims. 

I received my medical degree from the University of Southern California and post-doctoral training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. I completed an NIH fellowship in Clinical Research and received a certificate in Clinical Investigation from the UCLA General Clinical Research Center. In addition to full-time practice,  I am the past Clinical Chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes &amp; Metabolism at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a former instructor at the UCLA School of Medicine, and a founding member of the Cedars-Sinai Thyroid Cancer Center.I have lectured at national symposia and authored numerous publications in the field of Endocrinology.
