Description
Dr. Owens is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Owens is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and Medical Board of California. He specializes in bariatric and general/abdominal surgery for people suffering from morbid obesity. Dr. Owens is currently Medical Director of Bariatrics at Chapman Global Medical Center, and Coastal Center for Obesity and is Chief of Surgery Chapman Global Medical Center. He is a current or past member of various professional societies. Dr. Owens has an extensive list of Academic Appointments ranging from 1974 to present. He has served on Editorial Boards and has more than 45 Journal Publications, published books, numerous Book Chapters and has appeared on TV and Radio.
