Dr. Jonathan Zelken is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He was raised in New England and embraces the artistry in his craft; this is what drew him to a career in Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Zelken obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology from Cornell University. Dr. Zelken went on to pursue a degree in Medicine at Tufts University and committed to a career as a surgeon-scientist. The first two scientific articles he authored have been cited 140 times. After graduating at the top of his class, Dr. Zelken completed his plastic surgery training at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was one of only 2 candidates selected for a combined residency in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, then rated America's #1 hospital for 22 years in a row.

After serving as chief resident at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Zelken was selected for an equally competitive microsurgery fellowship in Taiwan under the guidance of the world's most prolific microsurgeon in Taiwan.

Dr. Zelken authored more than 50 scientific articles and has a passion for teaching. He performs reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the breast, body, and face, and is a trainer for BodyTite (radiofrequency skin tightening device). He is highly regarded in the Orange County community for his willingness and capacity to take on the most challenging facial reconstruction cases. In his boutique Newport Beach clinic, he offers a full array of spa services, IPL, laser, microneedling, PRP, and permanent makeup.
