Dr. Birnbaum is residency trained and board certified in Emergency Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He has practiced emergency medicine since 1989 and is in active clinical practice. Dr. Birnbaum's academic and administrative experience includes serving as faculty for an emergency medicine residency training program, associate director of the Emergency Department of a major northern New Jersey medical center, and Corporate Secretary and Board Director for Emergency Medical Associates, a large regional Emergency Physician group in New Jersey and New York. Dr. Birnbaum has provided medical expert review in over 50 cases and testified at trial or deposition in over 20 cases since 1999.
