I have been a nurse in outpatient surgery (Surgery Centers and Hospital) for 10 years. I have worked in several different establishments which adds variety to my experiences. Most of my experience has been in the ambulatory surgery center (ASC). I have worked bedside for 7 years including outpatient infusions for a variety of patients. The last 3 1/2 years I have been a supervisor for an ASC and moved up to Director of Nursing where I learned more than I could hope for during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have been through AAAHC and CMS surveys with passing scores and high kudos.
I have worked while earning two degrees along with my American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification. I have passed the AORN ASC Administrator Training Course and am always interested in broadening my knowledge level. At this time I am taking Legal Nursing Courses in hopes to be certified soon.
